Welcome to Puget Sound Region

2013 Puget Sound Region Board of Elections Candidates

Tracie Lindeblom
My love of volleyball began in the 7th grade. I played all through high school and two years at Centralia College. My love of the game increased as I began coaching, both club and high school. My desire for teaching and instilling the passion of the game in young adults continues today. I believe serving on the Board of Directors will allow me to further my passion and help the Puget Sound Region grow. We are a team made up of players, parents, coaches, clubs and I would love the opportunity to serve you.

Bil Caillier
Bil Caillier is a life-long resident of the Puget Sound Region where he first realized his passion for volleyball as a player. Over the past 15-years, that passion as a player evolved into a desire to share his experiences as a coach. His first opportunity came under the tutelage of Nancy Zehnder as an assistant at his alma mater, Auburn High School. During this time Bil began coaching USAV in the Kent area. Shortly thereafter, he was hired as the Kentwood High School head coach while continuing to coach club volleyball. While working at Kentwood Bil was instrumental in running the successful Little Rookies program at KJ Volleyball club. This program served as an introduction to volleyball for young players. Two seasons ago, Bil resigned from Kentwood to accept an assistant position at Seattle University.

Bil’s experience as a player and as a coach have spanned a wide variety of ages; however, it is the grass roots level where he feels the greatest potential for the region exists. I ask for your vote.

Allan Chinn
My name is Allan Chinn and I would like your permission to serve on the Puget Sound Region Executive Board. I will help grow the sport of volleyball in this region for girls and boys, adults and professionals. I will represent all constituents of volleyball. I bring additional business experience to the current board membership.

For the last 35 years my passion is Volleyball. I am a player, coach, official, arbitrator and administrator. I played with Geezers, Strike Force and Team Red Card; I coached with Cascade and Momentum VBC, a national USAV and Pac12/WAC official, USAV Arbitrator for 15 years, served on the USAV executive board for 6 years and the founding Commissioner of the Puget Sound Region.

The business experience I bring to this board includes Long Range Strategic Planning (LRSP) and financial reporting from another 501c3, The Seattle Chinese Garden. I served as their treasurer for two years and currently on the LRSP committee. This experience will compliment others on the board. I also bring 16 years of IT experience running a network consulting company.

Thank you for your consideration and I would like your vote.

Jason Mills
In my 11 years of active membership in the Puget Sound Region of USAV, I have been a coach, referee, tournament seeder, tournament director and assistant club director. In those 11 years, I have seen the region evolve and change, SLOWLY...painfully so in most cases. I would like to see a more vigorous leadership in place to achieve at least some of the following…
• Higher membership
• More competitive teams on a national level
• More opportunities for lower income players
• A better system for preparing coaches for reffing duties
• A more technological way to seed power league
• A program to get boys involved at a younger age
If you are like me, and think that this region can do a lot more, a lot quicker than it has in the past, I ask for your vote.

Shannon Pratt
Shannon Pratt, Club Director for Seattle Jrs a first year club out of North Seattle. I have been coaching for 17 years with 16 of those in the Puget Sound Region. In my youth I played club volleyball for Seattle Juniors which was directed by Raynani Reinhardt. I attended Portland State University and played volleyball all four years. After college I relocated to California and played professional volleyball for the San Jose Storm. Volleyball has been a positive influence in my life both on and off the court. One of the biggest things it taught me is the importance of teamwork in order to achieve what has been defined as success by the team. It would be an honor to become a member of the board’s team working together to achieve common goals that serves volleyball and its members.

Andrew McAllister
Andrew has an extensive background in volleyball. He began playing the sport at the age of 8, and played at various levels from middle school to club to college. He got his start with club volleyball coach with Club Shasta in 2000. He spent 5 years at Central Valley High School in Shasta Lake, CA, where he also coached for 3 years with Lake City Volleyball Club. He coached one year for the U16s before transitioning to U14s for the final 2 seasons, capping his career in Shasta Lake with a U14′s Regional Championship.

After CA, he moved to Lake Wales, FL where he was an assistant volleyball and softball coach for Warner University. He coached for the Brandon Sparks Volleyball Club for 2 seasons, and spent 1 year as Varsity Coach for Lakeland Christian High School, winning a a district title and being named FHSAA District 13 Coach of the Year.

The following summer, he moved to Seattle to pursue his Master’s degree. A 2009 graduate of the University of Washington with a M. Ed. in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration, he coached for 2 seasons with Northwest Juniors and as an assistant coach for Bellevue College.
